    HYDROLOCK STRIP - 5LM STRIPS

    JUTA

The swellable bentonite tape is embedded in a high molecular polyisobutylene caoutchouc matrix and special filler with crystalline additives. Supplied as a coiled strip, it is easily fastened onto the existing joint surface before the next concrete pour. The HYDROLOCK STRIP activates upon water leakage, absorbing water and swelling to form an impermeable layer within the joint. Compared to traditional joint sealants (such as PVC tape and sheets), the HYDROLOCK STRIP is economical, reliable, robust, and offers optimal performance.

    Benefits:

    • Self-injecting effect - enters cracks and gaps.
    • The swelling and shrinking processes are endlessly reversible.
    • Stable in size across all temperature ranges.
    • A high natural mineral content ensures limited wear over time.

    Applications:

HYDROLOCK STRIP should only be placed on in-situ concrete - the tape must be completely covered by concrete on all sides (a minimum of 80mm concrete cover is required) to allow swelling pressure to develop.

Installation: HYDROLOCK STRIP can be installed using adhesive primer (hydrolock paste) or by utilising hydrolock rail. Securing the fixing rail with steel nails or pins is advisable, ensuring a minimum center spacing of 300mm.

    Handling & Storage Instructions:

HYDROLOCK STRIP rolls are delivered in lengths of 5m, packed in boxes containing 6 units each. They should be stored on stable, level ground and stacked no higher than five boxes, with no other materials placed on top. While the rolls can be stored outdoors in their packaging, they must be shielded from exposure to UV rays.

Shelf life: 5 years when stored indoors and safeguarded against frost and adverse weather conditions.
