WP SAM
JUTA
The WP SAM membrane is composed of self-adhesive SBS polymer-modified bitumen with an upper surface of grey co-extruded polyolefin and a lower surface of siliconised release paper. It is designed for the waterproofing of underground structures, effectively preventing the ingress of RADON and other harmful ground gases. Compared to traditional waterproofing methods, the WP SAM membrane is highly resistant to chemicals and ground gases, ensuring long-term durability and performance.
Benefits:
- High chemical resistance.
- High resistance to ground gases.
- Long-term durability, with performance guaranteed for the building's lifetime.
- Compatible with all building materials.
Applications:
WP SAM is used for the waterproofing and radon protection of underground structures where harmful ground gases are anticipated.
Installation:
WP SAM should be installed according to the product installation guidelines. It is recommended to avoid application in temperatures below 10°C; in colder weather, the material can be warmed slightly to aid adhesion. Ensure all construction conforms to Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and British Standards in effect at the time of building. Refer to BS8102:2009 and BS8485:2015 for guidance.
Handling & Storage Instructions:
Roll weights can exceed 20 kg (approximately 33 kg per roll), requiring appropriate care and equipment for unloading and handling. WP SAM rolls should be stored horizontally, and pallets should not be stacked. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from rain, sun, heat, and cold temperatures before installation. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause difficulty with the removal of the release film.
Shelf Life: WP SAM has a shelf life of 5 years when stored indoors and protected from frost and adverse weather conditions.
