Mapefer 1K serves as a single-component, re-alkalizing, corrosion-inhibiting protection for reinforcing bars in concrete repairs using Mapegrout shrinkage-compensating mortars or standard cement mortars modified with synthetic resin latexes. It's also suitable for underground concrete projects. This product, based on polymer dispersion, cement binders, and corrosion inhibitors, is applied in two coats on rust-free rebars. The second coat can be applied 90-120 minutes after the first, preferably within 24 hours, ensuring complete and uniform coverage. The total thickness of the two coats should be approximately 2 mm. Repairs with Mapegrout products can commence once Mapefer 1K is dry, which takes about 6 hours at 20°C.
